Cappuliato - Sicilian Chopped Sundried Tomatoes Pesto - Fratelli Burgio

Cappuliato, chopped Sicilian sundried tomatoes with basil, capers and fennel seeds: spread it on bruschetta or stir it into pasta.

The Burgio brothers opened their deli in the Solarino countryside in 1978 and now run it inside the Ortigia market in Siracusa, working the old way and without preservatives. Tomatoes are 70% of the jar.

How to use it

• On bruschetta.
• On pasta, or in a soup to lift the taste.
• With cheese.

• Ingredients: chopped sundried tomatoes (70%), extra virgin olive oil (10%), basil (8%), capers (5%), fennel seeds (3%), oregano (2%), black pepper (1%), red pepper (1%).
• Storage: once opened, keep it in the fridge and cover it with extra virgin olive oil.
